WHY DO PARENTS DAMAGE THEIR CHILDREN?

April 2nd, 2006 by conceitedwannabe

Parents damage their children. It can’t be helped. Like pristine glass, absorbs the prints of its handlers. Some parents smudge, others crack, a few shatter childhoods completely into jagged little pieces, beyond repair.

– The 5 people you meet in heaven

Deep Sadness. That’s what I feel now. Who caused it? My Dad. He already apologized but the pain’s still there. I can’t really bear all the things he said. I’m obeying all his will — he wants me to work in a bank, I applied! He wants me to be always in the honor roll, I studied well. What else does he want? I’m willing to do anything just to make them happy and proud of me. I’m even ready to sacrifice for them and set aside my own happiness.

Oh God! don’t know what to do, where to go and who to talk to.. I just want to lose my breathe so i’d be at peace.

TO THE CREATURE I PITY..

March 10th, 2006 by conceitedwannabe

i just hate this certain damn creature who tried to save herself from the consequence of our wrong doing… as they call it, "naghuhugas-kamay!"

oh dear, i pity you.. you’re so coward in facing sanctions, punishments or whatever you wanna call it! .. such a coward, huh..

would you mind changing your attitude? maybe through that you’ll get to learn the VALUES you have not yet known.. and oh, these values could also be a bridge in gaining "TRUE FRIENDS", just telling..

i don ‘t know what i did to make him feel that way..

i have no clue what he found in me that’s so unique — i’m  passive, morose, unfriendly and even judgemental… but still, in his eyes, i’m perfect and special..

it’s just "me", kat.. the ordinary college girl.. the suplada-looking-lady who’s always misperceived..

wake up to that reality..

it’s not that i’m being unfair or whatsoever..

i just don’t want him to be hurt because he doesn’t deserve it..

KAT + ANERINE + CHOMS = POWERHOUSE!=P

Why Wait?

Because although we want to be decisive, we do not want to be impulsive.

Although we want to be swift, we do not want to be hasty.
Although we want to hold on to the one we love,
we do not want to lose ourselves in the process.

If we want to run, we must first learn to walk.
If we want to swim, we must first learn to float.
If we want to make love, we must first learn to love.

In the end, it is still best to wait for the one we want
rather than settle for the one that is available.
It is still best to wait for the one you love
rather than settle for the one who is around.
It is still best to wait for the right person.
Because life is too short to waste on the wrong one.

Because waiting serves a purpose. Noble and mysterious,
you have to know that flowers do not bloom overnight.
Rome was not built in a day.
A life grows in the womb for nine months.
Great love grows steadily over a lifetime.

Most good things in life take a long time. And they are
all worth waiting for. These, despite the fact, that
although waiting requires a lot of things — faith, courage, and hope… waiting guarantees nothing.

One cannot imagine after all, that God in all His
wisdom, asks us to wait, for no essential reason.

Point oF view (from 7th sense)…

November 28th, 2005 by conceitedwannabe

Imagine you’re in London’s Heathrow Airport. While you’re waiting for your flight, you notice a kiosk selling cookies. You buy a box, put them in your traveling bag and then you patiently search for an available seat so you can sit down and enjoy your cookies.

Finally you find a seat next to a gentleman. You reach down into your traveling bag and pull out your box of cookies.

As you do so, you notice that the gentleman starts watching you intensely. He stares as you open the box and his eyes follow your hand as you pick up the cookie and bring it to your mouth. Just then he reaches over and takes one of your cookies from the box, and eats it! You’re more than a little surprised at this. Actually, you’re at a loss for words. Not only does he take one cookie, but also alternates with you. For every one cookie you take, he takes one.

Now, what’s your immediate impression of this guy? Crazy? Greedy? He’s got some nerve! Can you imagine the words you might use to describe this man to your associates back at the office?

Meanwhile, you both continue eating the cookies until there’s just one left. To your surprise, the man reaches over and takes it. But then he does something unexpected. He breaks it in half, and gives half to you. After he’s finished with his half he gets up, and without a word, he leaves.

You think to yourself, "Do this really happen?" You’re left sitting there dumbfounded and still hungry. So you go back to the kiosk and buy another box of cookies. You then return to your seat and begin opening your new box of cookies when you glance down into your traveling bag. Sitting there in your bag is your original box of cookies — still unopened.

Only then do you realize that when you reached down earlier, you had reached into the other man’s bag, and grabbed his box of cookies by mistake. Now what do you think of the man? Generous? Tolerant? You’ve just experienced a profound paradigm shift. You’re seeing things from a new point of view.

Is it time to change your point of view?

Now, think of this story as it relates to your life. Things may not be what they seem.

Dont pay too much attention to what you’re already seeing…pay it to what you’re missing.

THANK YOU!
